Accessibility

CalBiss is built to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, with a keyboard alone, or with text enlarged. This statement sets out where the site stands and how to reach us if something gets in your way.

The standard we follow

This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That single standard is the technical basis for Israeli Standard 5568, for the European standard EN 301 549 used by the European Accessibility Act, and for what courts in the United States look to under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Conformance status

Substantially conformant. Our most recent review, on August 31, 2026, combined automated testing across every page, theme and language with manual keyboard and screen-reader checks, and found no outstanding level AA failures. Automated tools cannot catch everything, so we treat this as an ongoing commitment rather than a finished job.

What that means in practice

  • Every control can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and the focused element is always visibly outlined.
  • Pages use real headings, landmark regions and a skip-to-content link, so a screen reader can jump straight to what matters.
  • Nothing is locked: you can zoom to 400% or raise your browser's font size, and the layout reflows without losing content or forcing sideways scrolling.
  • Text and interface colours meet the level AA contrast thresholds in both the light and the dark theme.
  • If your device asks for reduced motion, animations are switched off rather than merely shortened.
  • The site is published in English, Spanish, Hebrew, Russian and Arabic, with correct right-to-left layout for Hebrew and Arabic.

Changing text size and colours

We deliberately do not install a floating accessibility overlay. Those toolbars frequently interfere with screen readers, and they only ever affect one site. Your browser and operating system already do this better, and their settings follow you to every site you visit:

  • Text size: press Ctrl and + (Cmd and + on a Mac) to zoom, or set a minimum font size in your browser settings. This site respects it.
  • Colours: the site follows your system light or dark setting automatically, and the toggle in the header overrides it if you prefer.
  • Higher contrast: turning on your operating system's high-contrast or increase-contrast setting works on this site.
  • Reading aids: the site is built as plain semantic HTML, so browser reader modes, screen readers and text-to-speech tools all work with it.

Known limitations

  • The App Store and Google Play download badges are trademarked artwork supplied by Apple and Google, and are only available in English. Each carries a translated text description for screen readers.
  • Some embedded third-party content is outside our control. Where we find an accessibility problem in it, we look for an accessible alternative.
  • This statement covers the CalBiss website only.

Tell us about a problem

If any part of this site blocks you, email us at support@calbiss.com. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will reply within 10 business days. If you need information from a page you cannot use, we will send it to you in a format that works for you.

If we do not resolve it

If our reply does not resolve the problem, you can escalate to the accessibility regulator where you live. In Israel that is the Commission for Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the Ministry of Justice; in the European Union it is the national market-surveillance authority designated under the European Accessibility Act; in the United Kingdom it is the Equality Advisory and Support Service.
